Terms of Service

Last updated: October 29, 2026

These terms cover your use of marrow.games, your Marrow account, and the games you play through it. Marrow Games ("Marrow," "we," "us") is a studio of Knemeyer Studios LLC. By making an account or playing, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service. How we handle your information is in our Privacy Policy.

Your account

You sign in with your email address and a password. One account is for one person: please don't share it, sell it, or make accounts for other people. Keep your password safe, because anything done with your login counts as done by you. If you think someone else has used your account, email us right away.

You need to be at least 13 to make an account. If you're under 18, you need a parent or guardian's permission.

Linking Discord

Some games are played partly on Discord, so you can link your Discord account to your Marrow account. When you do, we ask Discord only for permission to confirm who you are (the "identify" scope). We can't read your messages, see your servers, or post as you.

We store your Discord user ID, username, and display name, so that umpires and other players in your games know who you are. We read them once, when you link, and then give up the access Discord granted us. A Discord account can be linked to only one Marrow account.

To unlink Discord, email us and we'll remove it from your account. Records from games you've already played, such as who bred which horse, may keep the name you played under, so that the game's history stays whole.

Two shelves: Marrow's Games and the Workshop

Marrow's Games are the games we make and run ourselves.

Workshop titles are games run by their own umpires, who are independent game masters, not Marrow staff. Each umpire owns their game's ruleset and makes the calls in their game: who joins, what happens, and how disputes are settled. We provide the tools and keep the records, but we don't referee Workshop games, and an umpire's decisions are theirs, not ours. If an umpire or another player breaks these terms, tell us and we'll look into it.

In-game currency and items

Florence, horses, characters, and anything else you earn or hold in a game exist only inside that game. They have no cash value, they aren't your property, and they can't be sold, traded, or exchanged for real money or anything outside the game. An umpire or Marrow may grant, adjust, or remove them as part of running the game, and they can end when a game ends.

How to behave

Play fair and be decent to people. In particular, don't:

If you find a bug that lets you get around the rules, please tell us instead of using it.

What you post

You own what you write, such as character names, descriptions, and messages. By posting it, you let us store and show it to the other people in your games so the game can run. You're responsible for what you post, and you must have the right to post it. We may remove anything that breaks these terms.

Suspending accounts

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts other players at risk, or harms the service. Where it's reasonable, we'll tell you why. You can stop using the service and ask us to close your account at any time.

The service as it is

Marrow is a small studio, and our games are still being built. We provide the service "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. Things may break, change, or go offline, and game data can occasionally be lost or rolled back.

To the fullest extent the law allows, Marrow and Knemeyer Studios LLC aren't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, or for lost data or in-game items. Our total liability for any claim about the service is limited to the amount you've paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or $50 if you haven't paid us anything. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service grows. When we do, we'll change the date at the top of this page, and if the change is significant we'll let account holders know by email or on the site. If you keep using the service after a change, you're agreeing to the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the state in which Knemeyer Studios LLC is organized, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
